I’m a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I started living the Paleo/Primal Blueprint lifestyle in March 2012.

I started this blog as a journal of sorts, to post my thoughts and observations though my pregnancy, and delivered my first child, WZW, in September 2015.  I figured that I’d be able to give a unique perspective given my profession and Paleo lifestyle.  Hopefully there are others out there who will find reading this helpful.  Although I can attest to my certifications as an OB/Gyn physician, I am by no means an expert on the Paleo lifestyle in pregnancy.  And in many ways, I was just like every other woman going through pregnancy for the first time (I just had a better idea of what to expect than most).

Now I’m experiencing parenting with two kids (my second, LHW, was born August 2019), which is a completely different world.  And with all of the life changes that come with parenting and still maintaining a full-time job, I haven’t stayed strictly Paleo since the first kid arrived.

My experience with the Paleo lifestyle is mainly through Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint books and Mark’s Daily Apple website.  I do not have any commercial interests.  In other words, no one is paying me to write anything on this blog.  Any brands, websites, authors, etc. that I mention are simply because I think they are noteworthy and may be helpful to others.

For professional reasons, I prefer to keep myself anonymous.  If you’d like to reach me, you can do so via comments on my posts, or by emailing me at Paleo.OB@gmail.com.  Thanks for checking out my blog!
